Front Desk Administrative Assistant

The mission of Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO) is to assist people in our community with their basic and urgent needs and to help them realize their potential on their path to self-sufficiency. EChO’s services are designed to assist community members who are facing personal or economic adversity by providing a range of wrap-around services tailored to the specific needs of individuals and families.  EChO’s programs include the Food Pantry, Client Services, Job Center, Evergreen Shelter, and the ReSale Shop.  EChO serves a diverse population primarily consisting of residents of the unincorporated mountain areas of Jefferson and Clear Creek counties.  Passion. That’s the common attribute of those that work for our organization. We are dedicated to helping the people who utilize our services.

 

We are currently seeking a Front Desk Administrative Assistant to staff the EChO Food Pantry and Client Services building. 

 

Front Desk / Administrative Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

 

●       Greet and direct clients, visitors, donors and volunteers

●       Answer phone, transfer calls, take and deliver messages in a timely manner

●       Schedule appointments for client services and community partners

●       Make appropriate referrals to other social service agencies

●       Create and compile reports for statistical purposes from database as requested

●       Order supplies

●       Record information in client database and scan client records

●       Register clients for special events

●       Record and share minutes of monthly staff meetings

●       Maintain professional relationship with clients while respecting confidentiality

●       Collaborates with Food Pantry Manager, Client Services Manager and other EChO departments to ensure efficiency and effective communication

Qualifications

●       Outgoing and pleasant personality

●       Ability to read, write and speak English, bilingual a plus

●       Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google G-Suite

●       Ability to learn internet-based data system

●       Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks at hand

●       Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast paced environment

●       Familiarity with local mountain communities and resources a plus

●       Desire to treat all clients and staff with respect and dignity

 

All permanent part time or full time employees are eligible for paid vacation, 3 Personal Days,  8 paid holidays and sick time.

This position is part-time and pays an hourly rate of $16 per hour.
